Theseus will check every one of your HTML pages. This process will take some time, depending on the size of your site. When the wheel is done, you can:</span><span class="style3"></span><span class="style1"> </span><span class="style2"> 1)</span><span class="style1"> Choose a list of files from the "Show" popup menu. </span><span class="style2"> 2)</span><span class="style1"> Click on a file in the file list to display a list of the links in that file. Each link is coded with an icon which indicates the status of the link (viz., file not found, bad syntax, good link). </span><span class="style2"> 3)</span><span class="style1"> Fix bad links by clicking on the link in the list. The HTML file will open in text mode scrolled to the appropriate link so you can fix it. Note: it is best to fix bad links in the order in which they are presented in the link list.</span><span class="style3"></span><span class="style1">Items in the "Show" popup menu: </span><span class="style2">All Links</span><span class="style1"> - displays all files which contain image or hypertext links. </span><span class="style2">Bad Links</span><span class="style1"> - only those files which contain broken links. </span><span class="style2">OutLinks</span><span class="style1"> - files that contain links pointing out to other Internet sites (web, ftp, etc.). </span><span class="style2">InLinks</span><span class="style1"> - all files (including graphics) that are linked to by other files. Useful for finding insufficiently linked pages. </span><span class="style2">Dead Ends</span><span class="style1"> - files that contain no hypertext links to other pages. </span><span class="style3"></span><span class="style1">Click "Options" to set Theseus to track hypertext references, inlined images, or both; and to set whether you want to track all links, or only broken links.
